Katie Dunn
Attorney at Law

Katie is committed to helping families have peace of mind and ensuring that the estate planning process is not a stressful one for clients.  Katie guides her clients through every step of the estate planning process and helps them protect themselves and their loved ones.    

Katie received her bachelor’s degree in political science, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.  She received her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2007 where she received a certificate in public interest law.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Katie volunteered for a year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in the Bronx and then worked on children’s health policy issues in Washington, DC. 

Before practicing estate planning, Katie was a mental health law attorney at the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley for five years where she worked with clients with mental health disabilities to ensure the protection of their constitutional and statutory rights.  She also trained hundreds of health care providers on disability rights law. After moving to San Diego, Katie practiced juvenile dependency law where she litigated numerous cases in court. She is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association (Trusts & Estates and Elder Law Sections) and the Trusts and Estates section of the State Bar of California.

Katie lives in Scripps Ranch with her husband and three children and enjoys living in the community where she was raised.
